Histoire

Shri J.N Radhakrishna fonde en 1948 Amrut Laboratories dans le premier but d’assembler et embouteiller des boissons alcoolisées. Puis en 1980, la société se lance dans la production de whisky de malt. En Inde, la plupart des whiskies sont fait à partir de mélasse. Mais Amrut a souhaité fournir un spiritueux pouvant plaire au monde entier. Avec l’aide de plusieurs experts, venus d’Écosse, la distillerie s’est finalement mis à cultiver leur propre orge au pied de l’Himalaya.

Fabrication

Le single malt Amrut Fusion, est le résultat d’un assemblage de 2 cuvées spéciales : une cuvée issue d’orge venu de l’himalaya et une cuvée d’orge écossais séchée à la fumée de tourbe. enfin, il est vieilli 4 ans sous une chaleur quasi-tropicale.

NEZ :

Complexe et boisé, touche de sucre d’orge.

BOUCHE :

Gras et herbacé.

FINALE :

Notes de noix de coco.

Fondée en 1948 à Bangalore, Amrut Distilleries est la pionnière du single malt indien, ayant lancé sa première cuvée en 2004. Élaboré à partir d’orge cultivée dans le nord de l’Inde et distillé lentement dans des alambics en cuivre, le whisky Amrut mûrit rapidement grâce au climat tropical, équivalant à trois ans de vieillissement écossais en une seule année . Cette maturation accélérée confère aux expressions comme Amrut Fusion ou Peated Cask Strength des arômes intenses de fruits mûrs, d’épices et de chêne toasté. Reconnue mondialement, la distillerie incarne l’excellence et l’innovation du whisky indien.
